Where it comes from
Sonica is Elementa’s retro-future: stacked, concentric forms drawn from 1960s Space Age design — the atomic-era optimism of ray-gun curves, googie diners and a tomorrow that always glowed. Built layer by layer, each lamp looks like it beamed in from the future the past imagined.
The tall one in the Sonica family — and the one that reaches for the sky. Where the Mush spreads soft and low, the Diamond rises: a slender, faceted form of stacked tiers that taper as they climb, like a Space Age spire from a skyline the 1960s dreamed up. Each layer steps in a little, so the silhouette catches light along its edges and reads as a single sculpted gem once it’s lit.
Printed by hand in our Northcote studio from milky-white PLA over a deep red base, it throws a warm 3000K glow. At 450mm tall on a compact 240mm footprint, it holds a corner, a console or a bedside with real presence — the kind of piece that draws the eye up rather than out. Stackable by design, it’s built to climb even higher alongside the rest of the family.
The Stackable Part
Stack it your way — one lamp, endless forms
The lamp is built to be rebuilt. Its concentric tiers lift and re-stack by hand, so you can raise the dome, spread it low, or swap layers with the rest of the Sonica family. One lamp, endless silhouettes — reshaped whenever you feel like it. You don’t just buy the design; you finish it.
